two months later . . . with bar sajor

one thing that really gets to me as i live day after another is that ... time flies quicker and quicker!
and even though i know i haven't been updating my blog, i just can't believe it's already been two months since my last post!
however, i was reminiscing over the past two months of craziness, i also couldn't believe it's "only" been two months because yes, it was pretty packed!
so even though two months just zoomed by, i am glad it was packed with great memories & of course...a lot of delicious food which i can't wait to share!

in attempting to get back into posting, i thought it would be more appropriate to start with a place during my trip to seattle called bar sajor in pioneer square which apparently opened for less than a month when i visited!

i immediately fell in love with this place because i am such a sucker for decor (spacious white open restaurant with wooden accents, high ceilings, windows all around, and vintage glasses? i am sold!)
& since seattle weather was perfect during my visit with clear blue sky, so having lunch while bright sunlight lit up the beautiful restaurant (thanks to all the windows at bar sajor) made our dining experience even more memorable

as for their food, i loved how the ingredients are fresh and local which was prepared deliciously!
sure...the servings were pretty small and one dish will not fill up a grown man, but you can always eat two dishes, right?

ginger beer & apple honey mead
sour huckleberry soda
cucumber & whey soda
soda-making in action
resident chinook salmon cured in calvados & apple mash served with butter, radish sprouted lentil
...which EVERYONE in the restaurant was getting
harlow beef tartare, a six minute egg, black kale
puget sound silver smelt, avocado, lime & israeli za'atar
quiche with caramelized onion, hedgehog mushroom & chard served with winter green salad
overall, it was a happy dining experience and it was my pleasure to try a newly opened restaurant during my visit!

i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!
