weekend getaway to palm springs . . .with lots of food

last weekend was beautiful & it was a prefect weekend for a mini getaway to palm springs aka a classy bachelorette weekend for my dear friend "s"!
bride-to-be's request was that we have a chill weekend doing "nothing" and we did just that...while still doing low-key "something"

first up! "brunch" at the avocado house
what was supposed to be a brunch turned in to lunch because this place was too popular & the meal took more than 2 hours;;
but, it was delicious & we literally chowed down the food while not talking to each other!

thank goodness we ordered the meaty-dishes, because it sure gave us energy when we were speed-shopping at the cabazon outlet ;)

dinner reservation was at trio
and they were awesome for preparing the bling bling ring + cute decorations for the occasion
also, their prix-fix menu is awesome! price, taste, portions...all totally awesome!

fried artichoke hearts
-served w/ caper aioli dipping sauce

roasted baby beet salad
-baby beets, mixed greens, pecans, blue cheese, citrus sections, balsamic vinaigrette

-hand breaded to order lightly fried w/ homemade thai dipping sauce

-white bean hummus served w/crostini

cheers with pinot noir which was highly recommended by the server

roasted half chicken

veal steak

australian sole

trio bread pudding

then it was drinks at the viceroy palm springs
some reason, google map said it would only be a minute driving from where we were, so we started walking, but it ended up being quite far (20~25 minute walking) that we turned back about third of the way there so we can drive!'s tough being a girl in 4~5inch heels, right?

once we got there, viceroy exactly my taste! i loved their decor!
it's now on my list of places to come back

citron was situated right by the outdoor pool & we loved the fire pit that kept us warm & the live music which made our ears very happy!

morning after at bella monte
we definitely had some problems with this place while checking in, but their customer service was awesome!

as if we didn't eat enough...
we had lunch at bruxie then coffee at dripp when we came back

as you can tell from my previous post on bruxie right here, i love this waffle sandwich place
but dripp? wow! a new found love! thanks "a" for taking us there!

turkish coffee
black goat

origin: yirgacheffe, ethiopia
notes: raspberry jam, cocoa & fresh cardamom spice

i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!
