ria's bluebird

[atl edition]

i visited atlanta, ga last month and the food adventure kept me very satisfied, wanting more of the southern flavor! few more posts will follow, but first is this amazing breakfast/lunch spot that i wish were near me so i can go more often!

recommended by a local, i went to ria's bluebird straight from the airport, even if that meant waiting in the lot for 30min for the restaurant to open!
in the beginning, we were the only ones in the parking lot trying to get a quick nap from the red eye flight, but even before the restaurant opened, people slowly started lining up outside the "cold weather" (yeah, yeah, cold for someone from la) so that we were forced to hang with the crowd! which turned out to be a good idea, because in matter of opening, the restaurant was already getting filled fast!

i have never tried "southern breakfast" before, but i expected it to be somewhat heavier...
but nop! ria's bluebird  offered one of the cleanest tasting breakfast food ever!
and w-o-w! their buttermilk pancakes with caramelized bananas!!
i am not much of a pancakes lover nor sweet-food lover, but this? wow! really was amazing!
i mean....
after all...
ny times did say that they have the best pancakes in the world ;)

so here we go!

ria's bluebird
421 is my birthday!
located across oakland cemetery
i have fear of birds, but i loved ria's bluebird ;)
i will be back for some more!
biscuits & Gravy
huevos
sweet potato cake ..........and no it's not burnt!
southwest tofu scramble
buttermilk pancakes with caramelized bananas
fresh jam

i will save details to not bore you, but long story short, past two weeks have been very challenging with barely any sleep!
but now that i just have one more day to push through, i can say that i am very thankful for everything! especially being able to sleep ;)

i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!
