pixar in concert

for the first time ever...as it was the world premiere... pixar presented a compilation of the music & imagery from pixar's thirteen feature films, performed by a full symphony orchestra: toy story 1,2,3, ratatouille, finding nemo, wall-e, cars, UP, monsters inc, incredibles, it's a bug's life & brave

hosted by disney-pixar chief creative officer john lasseter at the hollywood bowl & favorite scenes being played on a large screen above the symphony performers, the program featured clips without dialogue, putting the emphasis on the great music, starting with toy story in 1995 up to brave in 2012

although engaging stories, great characters, good acting, lighting and hundreds of things working together that makes a motion picture a truly moving experience, one of the most critical pieces is a film's musical score!
because musical notes hit our heartstrings and have the ability to spark memories years later as well as certain feelings

(i highly recommend watching them in hd-quality!)

ratatouille is probably the most suiting clip for my blog, since i cover mostly food-related! ;)

my favorite was up's short, but greatest love story told in shortest time; the love story of carl & ellie! initially introduced in upbeat jaunty fashion, this score changes to a very emotional music & reminds the viewers why carl is doing what he's doing through the film
...and i admit, i had tears in my eyes...*cry*

as my dear friends said:  wall-e is a great movie!

ending the night with 'you've got a friend in me' as the encore song seemed very suiting
it was definitely best way to wrap up a very heart-warming night!

i am already looking forward to going back for more of pixar in concert if they return!

 that's it for today-
