father's office

father's office
. . . is definitely my favorite burger place in town!

i don't know what exactly the magic is for this burger, but it's just sooooooooo juicy & yummy!
the "f.o.buger" is made with dry-aged beef topped with caramelized onions, applewood bacon compote, gruy√®re , maytag blue cheese, and arugula on french bread

also, you must order their sweet potato frites which is cooked with duck fat served with the roasted garlic, cabrales blue cheese aioli,  it's perfect!
although there are now so many places that serve sweet potato fries, father's office has one of the bestest & i highly recommend that you order this with your burger-

i also like their regular frites with garlic parsley aioli because they have those shoestring fries which i love (i like thin over thick, when it comes to fries!)

what's a burger without some refreshing beer, right?
no worries. they have 72 specialty beers on tap, as well as cocktails and old-style sodas in bottles

they also have great sides (my favorite being the brussels sprouts) but due to low-lighting the photos were not worthy of being shown!

currently, there are two locations where you can enjoy this deliciousness-
original location in santa monica, which i started going  that is much smaller & more bar-like & the 'newer' location in culver city adjacent to helms bakery

i warn you now that it will not be easy to get a table here, as it is first come, first serve; no reservation
but don't fret! one can have a look out for a table & the other can order first, if you'd like
or just. . .  enjoy the beer first

another perk?
it's still goooooooooooooood even if you to-go the burger & eat it the next day!!!
since their burger is rather large, i always have some left-overs!
you'd think "wouldn't it get soggy and gross?" but nop! still yummy!

so if you are looking for a tasty burger with great beer list, this is it.
you need to head there & try!

in fact, i am craving a juicy f.o. burger right now but too bad it's about 30mi drive-
oh, and remember! no ketchup! no substitutions! but you probably wouldn't want it any other way, anyways!

i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!

    1. No! My friend went there recently too. But being in SD for the past few years, I haven't been out to LA often...even though I was born and raised in LA! I miss LA for the food!
