i love brunch
& unlike some who cannot eat much in the morning,
i . . . can eat decently & i actually get rather cranky when i don't have anything in the stomach in the morning to go on with my day
however, THIS restaurant is a killer . . . with their portion
need i say more?
as soon as i mentioned the portion, many of you probably already guessed the spot
yup-
today's post is on hash house a gogo
first started in san diego, ca
they now have few more spots in las vegas, nv as well as reno, nv
here are their locations
they categorize their food as "twisted farm food" and i agree
only farmers who just sweated a ton of water for working hard in the field would be able to finish any of their dish!
once you carefully picked your "breakfast" (i think you can almost call it as your meal for the day, with their ginormous portion) from their overwhelming menu
all you need to do is to prepare for the adventure
here is my:
andy's sage fried chicken & bacon waffle tower
-drizzled with hot maple reduction & fried leeks
just the look of it already shows you that i am about to have a heart attack . . . but it will be a enjoyable one
all the flavors go so well together & the fried chicken is surprisingly not greasy at all!
now . . .
the waffle . . .
i love waffles, but this one has bacon pieces inside them!!!
bacon-anything insures "yummy" flavor, so as you can tell, this dish was excellent!
next, sister's healthier dish:
house hash with fresh mushroom, artichoke hearts, sundried tomato and
fresh spinach tossed with crispy potatoes & topped w/ 2 eggs, served
with biscuit
again, this comes packed in a big skillet, so you can guess how big the portion is . . .
i would probably cook this much food for the whole family; not for one person-
only thing i recommend you at hash house a go go is that you think about the portions & share accordingly . . .
we ordered two dishes for four people & we still had some left-over
so unless you want to take home big portions as your next meal, sharing is caring!
i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!
When I first moved to SD, I used to bring my out-of-towner guests here all the time! We never shared though, and I always had a second meal for later. If I even got hungry!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Good job, Cynthia!!! You are a trooper for ordering your own! :D I wanted to eat the rest of the day so I shared hehe!
