my first mozza experience

what is your favorite cuisine?
i am very open & love all kinds, but one of my favorites has to be italian
and for this very reason, i do hope i can retire in tuscany one day...really!

surprisingly, i only just recently made it to Osteria Mozza for the very first time!
it was also my first mozza experience
& first time trying mario batali in LA so you can guess how excited i was when my friends let me pick a restaurant & i snatched the perfect reservation time..

we were lucky to find street parking nearby, which turned out to be excellent, as we got to walk-off the food on a cold LA night...and because we got to spend the money we would have spent on valet on tea after dinner...

since the dish i've been eying on could not be 'substituted', i was in some deep thinking mode, as you can see from below... but with help from the nice server, these dishes ended up satisfying our tummy:

i recommend that you wait until they place the napkins for you ;)
grilled octopus
with potato, celery & lemon
crostini with ricotta & olive
burrata with speck from the mozzarella bar
Linguine with clams,
pancetta & spicy Fresno chiles
with sausage & Swiss chard
Ricotta & Egg Raviolo
with browned butter
see the egg oozing out from the ravioli

overall, it was a pleasant experience: simple yet classy setting, good italian eats and friendly service (as expected from $$$$ restaurant)
my favorite from the night was the burrata & speck
i also enjoyed the ricotta & egg raviolo because it was a special dish i've never tried before-

already excited for more "Mozza"" experience!

i am now happilyfull ♥
see you on my next adventure!
